However, what tethers itself to your father's body is not him, but a malevolent spirit that somehow feels paternal towards you.
After this creature causes the undoing of Mona Martyr, you abandon everything and run away.
For ten years, you've run, hoping against hope to leave behind the havoc and pain you've caused.
But when you arrive in the big city of St. Cithaerias, where violence and thievery walk side by side, the people you left behind finally catch up to you.
As you navigate this new reality, you can count on the help of the Àlamarys mob family, whose Head has welcomed you in with open arms.
Can you right the wrongs of your past, find a home and purpose in the city of thieves, maybe even love, and keep your new family safe from harm? Something is coming to St. Cithaerias... It's time to end this hellish nightmare, necromancer.

Once, Elowen's last name made problems disappear. Now, violence is always the answer.
Briseis "Bri" Addams (gender-selectable M/F);
Briseis used to be Mona Martyr's resident "strange one", being an archeologist who dabbled in the occult.
Nosy, vulgar, unexpected, extremely volatile, and impulsive, Bri would either end a discussion swinging their fists or walking away.
Dragged along into this chaotic misadventure by Elowen, Briseis would rather fall in a ditch and stay there forever.
Hearst Rosevelt (gender-selectable M/F);
Hearst is the private investigator-mercenary-hitman Elowen hired to track you down and kill you.
Infuriatingly proud and confident, Hearst's arrogance has given them quite a few scars, but their abilities are unparalleled and their success rate is unmatched.
Beholden to no gods, the only language this mercenary speaks is money. Pay their fees, and they will do anything you say, no matter the consequences or who gets caught in the crossfire.

A fun-loving, devil-may-care, flamboyant vampire who is intent on befriending you.

You met her on your first night on the Àlamarys Manor, and soon enough it becomes clear she dislikes you.
Vincenza looks like a child, but at the same time it seems she knows all the secrets of the universe.
