      ☂ - pull my muse indoors, out of the rain/snow/storm

being in the rain wasn’t something that bothered him,  he hardly gave the raindrops a second thought the moment that they started.   while he wore a gas mask the majority of the time  (  a cause of his constant use of toxic chemicals  ),  it didn’t cover his hair,  leaving it subjected to getting soaked.  sitting outside of the building,  he crouched against the exterior  --  despite the rain that fell,  he still was not going to let his guard down.  on top of the sudden storm,  everything around them was frozen;  making the rain even colder. 

    the other member of his team was inside,  he wasn’t sure just  what  she was doing,  but he didn’t pay much mind to it in the first place.  caustic enjoyed the freshness of teams being split up into twos,  but if it was up to him,  he would prefer to work on his own  --  therefore,  he treated almost every situation as if he were a solo.  keeping his eyes trained ahead of him,  he could feel his hands starting to go numb from the cold.  the only time that he dragged his eyes away from the landscape was when he heard the door to the house they were bunkering down in open up,  and a pair of soft footsteps exit the threshold.  lowering the barrel of his gun,  he cocked an eyebrow to pose a question  --  if she came out here, then certainly something must have been wrong.  maybe she’d seen an enemy from the window?  though instead of an answer,  the blonde tugged on his arm,  clearly trying to get him to move in the direction of shelter.  standing up to his full height,  it was not his intent,  but the fact that he was just  very  tall that caused him to loom over her slightly.  ❝  what is this about?  ❞  he asked,  irritated that she would come out to interrupt him without good reason.

                        HIS  FINGERS  INTERLACE  WITH  HERS  AS  THEY  STROLL.        the  night  is  young,  dimly  lit  streetlamps  guiding  their  way  on  the  venture  back  to  her  home  after  their  date.  he’d  taken  her  to   the  coffee  grinder   for  the  quiet  atmosphere ,  warm  java ,  &  mothman  cookies  that  he  knows  she  gets  a  big  kick  out  of.  it  was  low–key  &  simple,  but  not  unlike  them.  neither  mj,  nor  angela,  require  fancy  dinners  with  extravagant  &  expensive  food  with  flashy  attire  to  be  happy  together;  he  loves  that  about  her.  actually  —  he  loves   everything   about  her.

                        perhaps  that’s  exactly  why  as  the  words  leave  her  soft  lips,  he’s  baffled  for  a  moment.  their  walking  halts  with  matt  stopping  them  in  their  tracks.  his  expression  lights  up,  only  for  her,  as  he  gets  lost  in  those   big  doe  eyes.   there’s  silence  that  falls  between  them,  though  solely  from  the  man  trying  to  process the  words  she’s  just  given  him  so  graciously.  to  say  that  he’d  been   yearning   for  something  to  this  effect  would  be  a  complete  understatement.

                        ❛  you  know  what’s  funny?  ❜        he  pauses  &  watches  her  expression  silently  ask  for  the  answer.        ❛  i  fell  in  love  with  you  the  moment  i  saw  you.  i’m  sure  that  sounds   ridiculously  cheesy...   but  it’s  true.  if  it  weren’t,  i  wouldn’t  have  a  house  full  of  your  flowers  to  the  point  that  i  have   no  damn  idea   what  to  do  with  them.  ❜        he  chuckles,  looking  down  at  his  feet  for  a  moment.  the  hand  that  isn’t  holding  hers  reaches  to  do   just  that.  the  warmth  of  her  touch  extends  up  into  his  chest,  reminding  him  exactly  why  he  feels  this  way.

❛   who told you that?  -- i’m here,  in one piece too.  ❜  he assures her,  a strange feeling in his chest from the thought of someone else worrying about him.  his body was already  covered   in brutal scars,  a few more was nothing to him.

@herheal does your muse snore? sleeptalk? sleepwalk?

x. tony does snore.  it’s not like...often, and it’s not super loud or anything, but sometimes you can catch him asleep somewhere - and it should be noted if he’s snoring and/or drooling, he’s sleeping hard - making these soft little snore noises.  he tends to fall asleep in places - especially in avenger communal areas a lot - that most people know better, so if he starts snoring too loud throw something at him and he’ll be quiet for a while.  

i’ve actually talked about tony’s sleeptalking before, but.  yes, he does that, too.  it’s not often it’s your typical...says things that don’t make sense/disturbing/hilarious things in his sleep kind of sleep talking, though he does that, too, it’s more...well.  with tony you can shake him and think he’s awake and talk to him and like.  have a full conversation with him.  he may sit up!  he will sound clear and concise and make terrible jokes and sound completely aware and coherent and he won’t remember a fucking word of it because the minute you let him go and he flops back over?  he’s deep asleep again.  you can’t tell him anything important in that state because he’ll honestly never remember it.  hell, you can actually tell him anything you want in that state because he won’t remember it.  if you want tony to be aware of what you say to him, the best thing to do is to keep shaking him until he gets annoyed and gets up, and put a cup of coffee in his hands before you try talking to him.  let him get those first few sips of wake up juice in his system before trying to communicate with words, because all you’re gonna get back is disgruntled angery noises in return.

sleepwalking’s not so much a thing with him, though.  once he beds down somewhere he doesn’t get back up again until he’s fully awake.  it’s part exhaustion, part...sleepwalking’s not really a thing for him.  if you do find him sleepwalking there’s something wrong - like mind control wrong - and at that point it’s probably time to call in some back up.
