She saw it. There was a spark in his arm, a flash so quick that none of the other medics had seen it but her. Angela wasn’t sure if Genji had caught it himself, but it was something she couldn’t let slip by. 

“Mr. Shimada … Do you, perhaps, have time for me to look over your arm. I cannot be sure, but I think something may be abnormal.” Angela hesitated, “We do not have to tell Moira or Commander Reyes, if you do not wish.” 

he knew that there was something going on with his arm,  but that didn’t mean that genji was in any hurry to report it to the medical team.  he was sick of being around doctors,  confined to a bed,  and forced to allow people to poke  &  prod at his body.  he hoped that he would be able to hide it from everyone else for a bit,  but it seemed that the blonde’s eyes were too sharp to overlook the occasional sparks that would come along with the malfunction.

    staring at her with an intense gaze,  he didn’t seem too happy that she would point it out to him.  ❛  abnormal?  ❜  the man asks,  trying to sound as if he wasn’t aware of what she was speaking about.  however  --   her promise not to tell the others made it  vaguely  tempting.  ❛  do  not  tell them.  if you think there is an issue,  i will let you check it out.  ❜

Angela was glad the hallway of the Overwatch medical wing was fairly empty this early in the morning as she rushed to catch up to the person in front of her. They’d dropped something from a stack of papers they were holding a moment ago and the doctor had barely noticed it in her tired daze. Fortunately for them, it had looked like an important enough document to make her second guess herself, stop, and turn around to pick it up. 

Now she was rushing to catch up to them, not running, but on the verge of it– her breath catching in her throat as she rounded the corner and found herself only a few paces away from her colleague, their back turned to her as they walked comfortably down the hallway.

“Hey!–” She called, raising her voice over the sound of her hurried footsteps on the tiled floor, “Wait!– I think you dropped something.”

ever since the incident with his brother,  genji was a frequent visitor in the medical wing at overwatch.  he genuinely hated it,  but that didn’t change that he still had to keep meeting up with their doctors if he was to remain stable.  he was still tense from the situation,  hardly talking to those around him;  not even the colleagues that worked alongside him in blackwatch.  he had a pile of paperwork from the doctors,  usually prescribing him medication to dull the pain or ease his mental state,  regardless he did not care much for what they had to tell him. 

    it wasn’t a surprise that he would drop a page or two,  but it was out of the ordinary for someone to notice him do so  &  go through the trouble of trying to return it to him.  turning around at the sound of someone calling out to him,  he was surprised to see a doctor that looked to be as young as himself.  in her hand she held the document that he dropped,  though it had little value to him,  he wouldn’t renounce her efforts. 

reaching out to grab the paper from her,  he couldn’t be bothered to wonder whether or not she had already taken it upon herself to read what it said  --  she was a doctor after all,  his situation must not have been something unknown to her.  ❛  thanks,  do not trouble yourself next time.  ❜  he replied,  his english heavily accented.  genji wasn’t trying to be unfriendly to someone that was going out of their way for him,  but it wasn’t his nature to be immediately accepting of all.

   feeling hands press firmly against his back,  genji wasn’t sure where to look.  he doubted that eve’s actions had any kind of ill - intent,  so instead he focused his attention on the apparent danger in front of him.  his body barely budged when she tried to force him out of the way,  but he could assume what she was trying to do.  seeing the stick coming at him,  he reached out  &  caught it with his hands.  it was meant to be a peaceful walk,  but it seemed that the wind was picking up and the sky was beginning to get dark;  he supposed that it would storm.  ❛  the weather looks like it is going to get bad.  ❜  he commented,  dropping the stick on the ground.  ❛  should we head back?  ❜     /    @pseudogaiety

how does your muse respond to being helped / taken care of?

not very well honestly,  genji is a person that is very focused on being independent  &  since he was ‘babied’ to some extent by his father,  he hates to have people treating him the same now that he is on his own.  however,  he will not be rude about it if someone is offering their help to him,  it’s not in his nature to be that way.  he likes to be considered someone that can be turned to for help rather than someone that needs it himself. 

eating habits.

he really is not fond of american foods by any means,  he much prefers asian dishes.  when it comes to genji’s eating schedule,  it’s a little all over the place depending on what he has to do that day.  if he can,  he prefers to eat a decent sized breakfast,  then lessens his portions as the day progresses. he is somewhat of a picky eater,  but will often only show it through how he picks through his foods as opposed to vocalizing the specific ingredients that he is not fond of. 

what items can be found in your muse’s pockets?

since he is usually wearing sweatpants when he is not out on a mission,  he keeps his pockets light.  sometimes he will keep a bit of money with him,  but more often is found without it.  he keeps the keys to his room there as well as his cellphone,  but other than that he doesn’t bring many things with him. 

does your muse snore? sleeptalk? sleepwalk?

genji is a very quiet sleeper,  if he has a cold he may snore a bit,  but other than that he sleeps very still  &  without a sound.  if someone were to talk to him while he was asleep,  they may get a short response,  but nothing along the lines of a full conversation. 

does your muse know when to rest, or do they push themselves?

when he was younger,  he could have been considered rather lazy,  never wanting to do more than what he was asked.  though,  as he got older  &  more responsible,  he grew to find a fondness for doing more than what he is needed to.  in terms of fighting,  especially on missions,  he pushes himself as far as needed.  he hates to leave loose ends,  even if he is in pain  --  and if the wounds linger,  he won’t allow them told hold him back from another fight possibly  too  soon after.

after a bad day,  genji’s favorite form of relaxation is warmth. whether it be a warm bath or a heated blanket,  he just loves to curl up and enjoy it.  he really,  really hates to be cold,  especially after an eventful day.
