Heroism isn’t a contest. It’s someone showing courage and strength to do something remarkable. That can include saving lives. That can also include mentoring. That can be inspiring someone. Some say teachers are heroes. Some say a trans teen being bullied or mistreated, contemplating suicide but finding inspiration to keep going with words from a celebrity transgendered woman (Caitlyn Jenner) is also the result of hero. Heroism can be rescuing people from a burning building, protecting people as a cop, and fighting in the army. Stop trying to degrade other people’s existence because you believe it’s misguided. If you were to do something heroic, god forbid anyone should judge you on that. To doubt your strength or humanity. Heroism is NOT a contest! It’s the true heart of humanity! Leave competitions out for sporting events!
