"Scam Tower" #HeritageUSA was a #Christian theme park that was the brain child of #televangelist #JimBakker & #TammyFayeBakker. It opened in #1978 & in 1986 it had become one of the top vacation spots rivaling Disneyland & Walt Disney World with an annual 6 million visitors a year in the 1980's. It closed in 1989 when Jim Bakker's federal indictment over his sexual affair & fundraising #scandal came to the surface ruining his empire. To top it off, #HurricaneHugo added its own revenge to help close the park for good.
