The second of my ships is one that is often under fire due to the age difference. Severus and Hermione shippers do not advocate for the relationship of underage persons with older persons- this relationship is based on mutually shared interests between the two characters and the suitability between their natures. An incredible amount of amazing fanfiction is centered around the couple and I must say that, once I got over the initial age-difference hesitation I discovered them to be one of the pairings I feel most strongly about.
