Bannerfall community is deadass just proving Owen's rant about shipping correct, because what the hell do you mean if you remove all other categories other than F/F it comes up with 98 fics D:

With all of the fics shown, there's hardly any Graecie x Shan, Ser Bek x Eloise, HELL (get it) even Apo x Cherri is being overshadowed!

There are SO many wlw ships in Bannerfall, and yet there's like nothing but FlowerSmith and LionKitty fics??

I have no problem with Flowersmith and Lionkitty, I promise, but I would expect there to be MUCHHH more wlw-focused fics??

As someone who watches like only Apo, Katie and Cherri's pov.

WHAT is so appealing about these two people (that are both men) that have no confirmed attraction for each other that puts them so highly above the wlw ships that are canonically MUCHH closer than them?

I don't get it. These two women can have the most soul touching and heart-breaking love story but suddenly when two random men look at eachother it's the most popular thing.

I'm sorry if I sound really petty but it actually kind of makes me sad that ships like these get overshadowed by men so easily.

I am someone who enjoys shipping LOTS, but there's like, got to be a point where characters don't have to be dating or in love. You can have your heart so full of love threatening to burst and it can just be for your buddy ol pal. Like take Kitty and Katie for example, they're platonic, but they care INCREDIBLY deeply about eachother.

P.S: PLEASE note that you can write and enjoy whatever you want. My personal opinion does not decide what a random other person in the world is allowed to enjoy. // ALSO, it's ok to reblog and educate me on why flowersmith or lionkitty or whatever is really cool, just do not be an asshole.

I've been wanting to say something about the Cherrifire situation (or whatever you would call it) for a while now. (Specifically, her being more 'in' the fandom than other ccs, and also shipping)

Long rant:

There is LITERALLY no problem with this.

If there is a problem, it is the fandoms' fault. If there are things you do not want ccs to see, that isn't their fault. You're gross for breaking boundaries.

Cherrifire has EVERY. SINGLE. RIGHT. to interact with a fandom, she is PHYSICALLY in! It doesn't matter if she knows the people from the fandom!

IT IS A FANDOM? FANDOM. THEY ARE A FAN OF IT.

I see so many people throw a hissy fit over Cherrifire literally just apparently being in the fandom. Guys, anyone can join the fandom, it was kind of obvious that she was in the fandom before becoming thumbnail artists for Martyn and Grian. Guys.

Okay so who gave you the permission to decide who the mcyt streamer friend circle can have in their group?? why is this up to you to decide?? I get not liking a creator but it's also not up to you.

I don't MEAN to tie this into misogyny or sexism, but guys, even if as a 'joke' Sausage has written fanfic about Treebark. And talks about it WAYYYY more than she has from what I've seen.

Why is Sausage writing fanfiction perfectly okay, but when Cherri, who was most likely already in the Life Series before becoming a thumbnail artist, does so much as shipping them, it's so evil and disgusting?

Also, for the record, if you actually watch Cherrifire on POW, she completely doesn't even talk about Treebark. I don't watch typically watch her other than POW (might start), so if she talks about Treebark more outside of POW then I wouldn't know.

But even then, if she talks about Treebark completely outside of POW then what's the problem?? It's her free time, and a fandom SHE'S IN. It's a SHIP. She ships the CHARACTERS. If this was such a problem to Martyn, then he wouldn't be friends with Cherri. Same with Ren.

It's literally not like she ships the actual people. People act like this is such a big thing and then excuse it with Sausage. It's weird. I don't mean to say everything is mysogynistic/sexist against Cherri, but the fact Cherri's a woman and Sausage is a man says a lot about what people excuse.

Sausage ships them MORE than her in fact, why is he excused?? Because it's a joke?? Why are people desensitized to Sausage shipping them as a joke, and then throw a fit when Cherri ships them?

I understand Cherri actually ships them and Sausage "doesn't" but even then, Cherri seems to keep her shipping way out of her work with them.

There is no reason Cherri shouldn't be allowed to ship Treebark and Sausage is allowed to. Sausage talks about Treebark any time Ren and Martyn interact; Cherri just acts like a normal person. It's a ship, they can act normal.

Just see it as actors from a show shipping the characters they act as or shipping the other actors' characters. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT IS. I cannot stress enough that Cherri is their FRIEND and that she wouldn't ship the ccs???? She's not a weirdo??? They're friends and they respect Martyn and Ren's boundaries???

I don't have much else to say about this. I'm not really sorry if it seems like I was mad while writing this, because I was. ALSO!!! DO NOT send hate to MythicalSausage, Cherrifire, or anyone mentioned in this. Nobody mentioned deserves hate! I was simply using Sausage as an example!! DO NOT HATE ON SAUSAGE!!!
