Okay I need a second to scream about my biggest takeaways from the ending of this episode because we're all affected but they are BIG CRUMBS and they are IMPORTANT!!!

Nice, when having his crashout in front of Ahu, very notably says he DOESN'T want to die. he's terrified of it

The whole breakdown SEEMS to be entirely constructed by his mind, the way he suddenly sees warped reality and the fear consuming his arms (which we don't see from outside of his pov). While he may have been touched by fear I don't think it was fear consuming him, or at least not to the extent HE thinks he's being consumed

Like, see? he's seeing all of the effects we have seen on the zombies of Cyan's arc for example but it's notably NOT happening irl. Ahu doesn't see any of it. Whenever we have seen fear-plagued people EVERYBODY could see it (Smile, DJ Shindig, the zombies)

The Fear didn't touch his skin at any point, it was over his suit. So far all cases we have seen needed skin contact

He's amplifying his own made-up paranoia. Like, I'm sure if he wasn't so scared of it (after seeing the effects of Fear through Smile's horrible death...) he wouldn't have been affected at all.

This all points to the fact that he most likely is not under the effect of Fear.

Now the OTHER major moment, his second breakdown in front of Shang De:

The art style changes rapidly to represent his overwhelming anxiety and emotions over the fear

and then.... GLITCHES! SNAP!

We're back to the rooftop of Episode 1.

NICE SAYS:

Is everybody really focusing on the fact that his breakdown over fear is the reason he commits suicide (not true. hello?) and ignoring that he's. currently. completely clueless about everything?????

Like. clearly X got him out of Shang De's Fear garage and teleported him to the rooftop (for reasons we will uncover next week). It was night time at the garage and now it's dawn. He doesn't know where he is, he seems to not know WHO he is (did X modify his memories to stop his spiral, I wonder?)

There is no way this man proceeds to commit suicide in the next 5 minutes under that state of mind, why would you kill yourself, you don't even know who you are? You would have no reasons to do so, and as I mentioned earlier he very clearly is terrified of the idea of dying and stated as much- this fully cements my theory that he's not dead and it may have been X's doing (or if he is dead, definitely not out of his own volition)

This 100% confirms ONE thing, regardless of him being dead or not: this was never a suicide

Miss J: So basically, everyone loves you and Moon together because you're the perfect couple, so you need to feed into that and be the most perfect boyfriend in the world, ideally unrealistically so, but there are also a lot of 'Nice is Gay' believers and they make up a surprising amount of your fanbase and sales, especially for merch with you and Wreck so you also need to pander to them, just some small subtle stuff, a glance here, a slightly awkward answer there, make sure there's enough that people will actually be able to work with it but keep it subtle enough that there's deniability but even when pandering to Gay Nice fans make it look like you're staying with Moon for her sake not yours if people wouldn't like a gay hero they definitely wouldn't like one who's using a woman for his own benefit oh also even Moon x Nice fans love Nice's twinkish affect so be sure to act at least a little bit faggy even when you're doing couple things with her, got it? Lin Ling: Um, Miss J? Can you reclaim that word? Miss J: No

Now that we're left with 1 more episode before the season ends, I REALLY need to know what the fuck Nice did to the Enlightener to warrant him coming after him so publicly. Like, almost every single hero in the top 10 have major reasons to jump him at any given moment. So why is he so mad?
