Blanket

     He’d been dozing when the slight movement roused him from the light clutches of near-sleep - odd how that happened, despite the fact that his body was unfeeling.

     An irritated growl escaped him as the shade cracked an eye open. What he was met with was the sight of his double adjusting him, shifting the shadow slightly until he lay atop the other male. Wrapped around both of them, much to his confusion, was a thick blanket that Dark could imagine was quite warm. Why Link was bundling the two of them up, however, eluded the shade. Was he not aware that Dark couldn’t feel the chill, if there was one at all?

     It occurred after a few moments of thought that his lighter half might have been the one in need of warmth. Perhaps it was cold tonight and the hero wanted another body to ward off the chill? That must have been it.

     Blackened arms moved sluggishly to loop around the other’s torso, his face burying into Link’s shoulder as if it were a pillow. Sensitive Hylian ears picked up the sound of a heartbeat, and it was this steady rhythm that lulled him back into sleep’s embrace. He couldn’t be certain that his body was actually doing the other any good, but Dark found that he preferred this position nonetheless.

     The soft thudding continued even after he drifted off again, a soothing sound that seemed to calm his normally savage nature - if only for the moment, at least.

     //I’m not sure if there are any that I really hate in the Zelda fandom? I’ll ship just about anything if there’s chemistry. The only one that I can think of off the top of my head that I’d oppose to is romantic LinkxSaria, because I can’t see them being anything other than very close friends. That, and shipping the Kokiri with anything is kind of super creepy, y’know?
