The next 5 of my reworking of some of the Heroical Devices of M. Claudius Pardin, Canon of Beauieu. These were active in the 16th century. I have translated the Latin myself. There is a publication of the devices printed by a William Kearney of Adling Street, London with a translation of the Latin by a ‘P.S.’, but I find his translations ubiquitous, pious and, in some cases, bilious.
