okay so a little over a week ago, archerofanarchy sent me a screenshot of an oras dragon tamer trainer named nicolas and we had a good laugh because of dnd reasons

and then i started thinking about pokemon au.

needless to say, things got out of hand

i re-jigged the designs to suit out characters obviously but also some of the colour schemes which were... not great, to put it nicely

Mia is the first to come to mind, but honorable mentions go to Clay Terran and Bruce Goodman who were probably swell people.

Tie between Turnabout Ablaze and Turnabout Serenade. 

I don’t dislike them, but they tend to drag and wear me out.

Godot. Fuck that guy.

I was going to say Kane Bullard because who even remembers Kane Bullard, but then I reminded myself of what a terrible person Juan Corrida was.

18. Least favourite assistant?

oooohhh, might get in trouble for this buuuuttt Kay Faraday.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Kay as a character (adore her design) but when I played Investigations (admittedly it was a while ago) she just didn’t feel… idk, necessary? I mean if you really need to fill your cute girl assistant quota and still wanted to have the crime scene reconstruction stuff then why not use Ema, who already has a connection to Edgeworth in the first place?

20. Least favourite memory of Ace Attorney?

Hmm, this would imply there were times I regretted playing the games and even though there might be some things I don’t like about them, I certainly don’t regret anything!

22. Maya Fey or Trucy Wright?

Oh no, this is too hard.

Even though I prefer Maya as an assistant, I do think that Trucy is the most competent of all of them. 

mmmmmmmm Maya wins by a hair, but it breaks my heart to say so.

24. College Phoenix or Hobo Phoenix?

ahahaha…. they would both be terrible

but at least hobo would be sensible. 

26. Ace Attorney or Ace Attorney Investigations?

Ace Attorney soz Edgey.

28. Ace Attorney trilogy or Apollo Justice and Dual Destinies?

They both have different atmospheres but I enjoy them equally.

30. Ema Skye as she is in Rise from the Ashes or Ema Skye as she is in Apollo Justice?

AJ Ema, like them both but it is really interesting to see the contrast after 9 years.

32. Your opinion on Dai Gyakuten Saiban?

LOCALISE IT AND  LOCALISE IT WELL

there is no reason to change the actual locations especially since most of it apparently takes place in London.

34. Do you think Miles Edgeworth should get another Investigation-game or do you think another character deserves a spin-off?

Nope, give us the Ema Skye spin-off it was originally meant to be.

36. Do you like where the franchise is heading or did you prefer the atmosphere in the original trilogy?

Kind of answered this with 28, but T&T was a conclusion to that trilogy and if they had kept going in that vein, it wouldn’t have come out well I think. I like where we’re heading.

38. Capcom suddenly announces that the Ace Attorney franchise has ended for good! Your reaction?

Disappointed but understanding. It is a big series as is, and as eager as I am for new installments, I would also be worried about it being milked.

40. Would you like an Ace Attorney anime?

Does a witness commit perjury?

Actually I think Apollo Justice specifically would be a good one to adapt. 

42. Would you want to play an Ace Attorney game where you take on the prosecutors role?

We’ve kind of already done that tbh, and Investigations is the weakest entry in the series imo. 

44. Opinion on Lamiroir’s storyline?

Look, I do feel sorry for her, what happened to her and how Zak and Magnifi treated her was terrible, but by the time of Dual Destinies she as recovered both her sight and memory and Apollo and Trucy still don’t know they are related.

I understand if she is afraid to tell them, or worried about their reaction but to be frank she needs to get over that and just do it.

46. Capcom suddenly announces an Ace Attorney movie! Would you like it to be based on an already existing case or would you like an all new storyline?

hhmmmm depends on who is writing it, if it’s Shu Takumi himself go ahead, but otherwise I would say to adapt an existing case.

48. If there could be an Ace Attorney crossover with whatever franchise you’d like, which one would you choose? (Does not need to be a video-game franchise)

A Ghost Trick crossover could be fuuuuunnnn

We are already getting our Sherlock Holmes crossover whehehe

These aren’t crossovers but I’ve also thought about His Dark Materials and Avatar AUs before

50. Do you think Dual Destinies deserved its M-rating?

I can handle violence and blood fine, but to be honest yes. The scenes with Simon and Young Athena are pretty gruesome. As is the implication of Athena…. repairing her mother.
