“Aw, come on Launchpad, you know those are my favourites! Not even one for me now...?”
It was amazing how she could shift from pleased with herself to pouty so quickly, almost as if someone was flicking switches in her brain to govern her mood. Gos quite honestly hadn’t been expecting the pilot to just hand over the remaining candy - though that would sure have been nice! - and on the one hand, it was already way past her bedtime so there couldn’t be many more trick-or-treaters left to come.
On the other hand, there was still a chance that there may be more visitors, enough for the candy bowl might be emptied before midnight arrived; and, even with the rest of her impressive haul, she didn’t think she could stand knowing that her favourite candy had been in the house and that she'd missed out on it.
Still, it was impossible to stay mad for long on Halloween; especially when LP pointed out the evidence of the rest of her success.
“Oh yeah, you know it! Honker and I went all over... um, as you can probably tell by following the slime trail, heh.”
Actually, now that she thought about it, Launchpad had an excellent point about not traipsing green goo even further into the house; she wasn’t usually shy about doing things that could get her grounded, but it would kinda ruin an otherwise fantastic evening. Setting her candy buckets aside, the girl glanced around for something to clean off the worst of her costume.
“You couldn’t pass me a towel, could you? At least this stuff wipes off easily enough; no need for a full bath like the real thing...”

“Hey LP.” Gosalyn waved at him from where she was messing with organizing some of Drake’s stuff. “Drake had to go out for a little bit, but he should be back soon if you wanna hang out for a bit.”
@heroiic-pilot liked for abner
It was so typical that when he finally worked up the will to visit Donnie and his nephews that the family would be out. Abner shifted uncomfortably on the couch, staring at the delicate teacup on the table before looking at the other man in the room. “So, uh.... you work for Scrooge?” It took effort to keep his voice neutral, but he couldn’t stand the silence any longer.
"Whoa, it's like lookin' into a mirror! A really handsome mirror!" @heroiic-pilot
“Super handsome, if I can say that.”

“Why not a Hamburger Hippo? You can’t go wrong with a classic, right?”
Sure, they’d only just got back to the mansion after an eventful day’s adventuring that had very nearly ended badly; and sure it was late by now. But what self-respecting burger joint wouldn’t be open until at least midnight?
Besides. Ever since the boys had made good on their promise of buying her her first hamburger, it was fair to say that Webby was kind of hooked. Not so much because of the meal itself - not that you could ever go wrong with a hamburger, really - but because of what it represented for her: her first step into a larger world beyond the mansion.
And after a day like today? It sounded the perfect way to round everything off, to her. Still, she gave just a little shrug.
“I mean, if you’re up for a late-night burger run, that is.”
“I will always step in between you and something like that.” - heroiic-pilot @ Webby

"I appreciate it, LP. But..."
Picking herself up from where she'd fallen when Launchpad had interposed himself between herself and the dicey situation she'd managed to get herself into, the duck girl shrugged a little, rubbed at her sleeve. While she was certainly grateful to the pilot for getting her out of a tight spot, another niggling line of thought dampened that feeling rather.
"I shouldn't need it. Granny's always taught me to be ready for anything... I should be able to take anything in my stride. Even something like this."
Naturally, the fact that she'd needed Launchpad to step in said that not even Webby could be ready for anything 100% of the time. And while, deep down, the girl did know that... it was still kinda a slap in the face to have it laid out so blatantly, after all.
"Granny would be so disappointed if she thought I hadn't taken all her lessons to heart fully."
Of course, it was entirely possible that the duckling was simply being too hard on herself. She was still a child, after all... something that Mrs. Beakley was sometimes far more aware of than Webby was herself.
“I have 13 different apologies depending on how mad you are.”

Rebecca could feel her eye starting to twitch, though she did her best to contain it. She’d dealt with Baloo and his shenanigans for years, Launchpad’s own weren’t to a point that she couldn’t handle. Yet. The bear took a deep, steadying breath, hands finding her hips.
“Now young man, I know you know what you’re doing in planes. I know you were practically laid in one. But-” And she cocked an eyebrow at him, “you need to be more careful. If something were to happen to you-”
