I don't normally write random snippets that go nowhere, but, since apparently I *dreamed* of this... You'll have to just accept the offering.
"... Really? Huh. I thought..."
"What?"
"Nothing--nothing..." Theron tried to look innocent, but clearly he was blushing. "I just thought for sure you and Doc had..."
"What? Doc? As in *Archibald Kimble?* And *me*?"
It clearly was a spiral of horror going on inside the head of the Hero of Tython and not for the first time, Lana wondered about her own life choices. Had she *really* spent years looking for the Battlemaster to find herself in the middle of *these* arguments?
*Why would you think that *Doc* and *me* ever--" (imagining a Jedi that *could* use full words to describe their romantic lives was clearly a fantasy with no basis in reality)
Not that Theron was much better (probably still Jedi fault), but at least the spy was looking amused under his raised eyebrow, his hand on his hip as he gesticulated.
"Really? Are you *really* asking me *why*? Have you *met* the guy?"
Lana was getting the feeling she should be very happy she wasn't particularly acquainted with the said person.
"Well... Yeah." The Jedi sounded defeated. "But--no! Of course not! How could you think--"
"Are you saying he didn't *try*?"
The only response was mix between an expression of "don't be ridiculous, Theron" (one of Lana's favourites), "are you mocking me?" (Used on Lana a lot) & "How can you think this of me?"
"Yeah, but *I* would never!"
"Hey no need to be like this, I wasn't judging..."
(Lies, of course. Theron Shan was always judging and clearly his expression wasn't convincing anybody).
"No--never. And I'd appreciate if we never ever brought up this--idea--again."
"I hear you. Trust me, *not* something I want to think about."
Lana sighed, exhausted by the whole talking in circles thing.
"Can we focus?"
(Best to snap out of the topic before either of them started looking at *her* past).
