Herrenberg, Baden-Württemberg. May 2026 I needed gloves, it was pretty chilly.
Spielkinder allen Alters willkommen :)
Herrenberg and Sindelfingen
One day I went visiting the small towns of Herrenberg, Sindelfingen and Calw with the nearby abbey of Hirsau.
I started in Sindelfingen, a city with about 65000 inhabitants and a small but beautiful old town. The old centre consists only of a handfull of streets, with many halftimbered houses, and this part of Sindelfingen is really worth seeing. For shopping-fans, do not miss the big shopping mall, which is located really close to the highway.
My next stop was Herrenberg. This town is smaller, with about 31500 inhabitants, but there you can admire much more halftimbered houses. The collegiate church towers above the market square and the town hall. The market square is really extraordinary with all the old houses. You can enjoy the scenery relaxing in one of the cafes or restaurants. It is really a pleasure to stroll through the romantic old streets around the market square with their colorful halftimbered houses. For naturelovers, there are also many hiking trails in the neighbourhood.
Instead of hiking, I went to Calw and Hirsau. These pictures I will show you the next week.
