mollys brother, noah, is at home. shes the one who left and she cant bring herself to return home and yet shes looking for him in everything. it's a mix of fear, guilt, and genuinely just not being able to go back as of now.

hershells daughter, pauline, was the only person who left with her dæmon (dont worry about it). and hershell is the only person who knows where she's gone. but he's repressed so much of the last 6 months & is so focused on taling care of his wife & hiding his affair that he can not afford any brain space to solving the horrible mysteries
