I look at all these awards shows and when it comes down to it it’s always about popularity, not actual talent, if you ask me. I mean, I like Jennifer and think she’s talented but i know so many people who weren’t impressed by her in SLP

Yeah that does have a lot of play into it. I mean Whoopi Goldberg got snubbed for Color Purple, but won for Ghost...so it's...it's a weird system. And I enjoyed her in it, I just...it was good. I was mostly captivated by Bradley Cooper tho

I haven't seen SLP (and I don't intend to, really), but my mom and sister have and they say there's nothing really extraordinary about JLaw in it and that it's Bradley and De Niro who deserved the awards

I mean she...acted. She was good, but Oscar worthy? Not in my opinion. De NIro and Cooper were nominated, but didn't win-- I mean Bradley Cooper should've definitely won I don't understand how he didn't. I don't remember what was running that year. Maybe the competition was steep idk, but yeah. Maybe because I watched it after she won the Oscar so I had higher expectations? Maybe .
