   “YOU KNOW, AS MUCH AS avoiding talking about it would be a way easier solution to all this, I’m pretty sure all these hivemind monsters don’t work like that-” If that were the case, they would have been targeted MUCH earlier on with how much their groups have been going back and forth on the best way to get out of this alive. “Demon, bats, Vecna slash Henry slash One, WHATEVER we say, the sound’s probably just going to alert something anyways even when we’re avoiding all the vines, so that just means there’s pretty much... too many ways to be absolutely screwed down here-” Voice trails off into a pause, before she... winces. “I’m making it worse, aren’t I?”

    TO RUN— Robin has thought about running more than she might care to admit. Even before she found herself somehow involved with monsters and alternate dimensions and whatever other strange crap has been thrown her way since ending up in a top-secret Russian elevator. In fact, before it all was when she thought about running the most. The idea of getting out of Hawkins not only a comfort, but an OBSESSION left at the forefront of her mind at all times. Seeing the world, freeing herself from the constraints of small-town Indiana, getting to speak the languages she loves to learn and finally feeling the freedom that a place like Hawkins had never allowed her too. In truth, Robin spent a long time thinking she had to run to stop hiding her true self. Still, she doesn’t want to stay in Hawkins forever ( who would? ), but... she has the rest of her life to catch up with that dream. And right now, her friends need her. 

    “Maybe.” She shrugs, gaze flickering towards Kendra before she glances off towards the distance again. “It’s for sure the intelligent thing to do, at least.” Her stomach drops. The risk is something anyone with sense would run from too— Robin knows damn well she should ( and she’s spent so long making fun of those people in horror movies when they wouldn’t just move away from their obviously haunted towns, too! ), but she’s finally found a place for herself... she wouldn’t be able to live with it if she let that slip away. “Guess I’ve already lost a chunk of my smart cred by deciding to follow Steve Harrington into battle, though, with work AND the real thing,” She chuckles softly, though a glint of determination shines in her eyes now. “Brave or not, we’ve gotten THIS far, I won’t run from it now.”

"this is not really how i thought one of my first ever proper dates would go but, hey, i’m not complaining.” together with kendra, udyati rounds the corner. honestly, she figures it was just going to be dinner and a movie. which is great, don’t get her wrong, but this? this is as scary as it is exciting. and kendra’s with her, so she feels as safe as can be. “just as an aside: i take it my knives don’t really work on those mūrkhas?” the vampires in front of them bristles, as if they know that udyati just called both of them idiots.

the translucent threads are stronger than they look. strong enough to hold her aloft, upside down, as if she’s a circus artist. as if aerial silks are her thing. tensile strength is what her friend skyler calls it. adhesive, too. once kendra speaks, however, udyati slowly lowers herself down to the ground again.

there is something about kendra that draws the eye. she’s not just pretty. pretty doesn’t even do her justice. no, the word udyati is looking for is stunning or, perhaps, striking. udyati likes looking at kendra. it makes her stomach do flips.

“ta-da!” she says, once her feet are on the ground again. “i mean, i---i’m okay. thank you, though. for... you know.” her sentence peters off. “um, i actually have, like, a bunch of videos on my phone of me falling down. kinda like a blooper reel. it’s actually so funny. wanna see?”

Wendy wasn’t exactly sure what the girl meant by that, but she DID know that she had a very valid reason for asking the question. If there was one thing that Wendy did not have full control over, it was the faces she made sometimes. A great actress should have those kinds of ticks under control, but sometimes, Wendy just couldn’t fake it. “I just sometimes wonder what lies they want us to believe, you know? Like be less dramatic, I beg of you,” she explained, motioning to the other people a little ways off. “Weird coming from me, I know, but do they really think we’re this GULLIBLE?”
