Random Observations
One of our kids leaves school everyday to walk home to talk medicine. Sure, I thought that was little weird, but administration thought it normal. He comes and signs out (and then back in) with me whenever he leaves. Yesterday, he comes running up to the desk, out of breath, and reaching for the sign in sheet.
“Quick! What time is it?” he says.
“Um, 12:02.”
He stops and stares at me. “What? That doesn’t make sense.”
“It doesn’t make sense that it’s 12:02?”
“I left my house at 12:45...” he stares at me, confusion evident.
“Are you a time traveller?” I responded, deadpan.
“Not really. I just run really fast. I guess I’m REALLY fast.” he continues to sign in once more, and I nodded solemnly. He went along with his day as if that resolved all of his confusion.
Sometimes these kids make me laugh.
