over the years tony had learnt how to protect himself and as it turned out having a suit made of iron came in pretty handy when the world of the end decided to show up. the issue however was keeping out of reach since the world had decided to go down the survival of the fittest route. but he figured for now he’d be safe, though he hadn’t really questioned just what position he was putting himself in when he finally found somewhere to hopefully stay. “so you’re the main guy?”

Crisis- although largely an uncontrollable source of discord, occasionally provided the rare opportunity for massive personal gain at low cost. 

Joseph had always considered himself a businessman before anything else- Christian included, but it was his faith that gave him his pull. Relying on the ever-comforting thought of rebirth was the same as admitting defeat, and many of these wandering faceless strangers had been defeated long ago. Provide the hope, and you control the people. 

Actionless poetic promises had worked in the beginning, trembling survivors banking their insurance on the idea of the holy unknown. However, belief soon turned into bravery, which quickly plummeted to stupidity, and Joseph soon found himself as alone as he began. 

Starving and sorely lacking in weaponry, swinging an acolyte’s candle stick at whatever may wander near, the man was fortunate (or, perhaps, unfortunate) enough to stumble upon civilization. 

Swallowing his pride, an incessant mockery of moral orthodoxy still in hand, Joseph began a new form of servitude to a man who played G O D.
