The man who shows off his birds at these events rehabilitates injured birds and the ones who cannot be released back into the wild he cares for himself and will take them places for educational purpose. The #prompt for #inktoberday9 was #screech so I made this thing. Things that went wrong and/or need improving: • I mucked up the shape of the beak and need to figure out how to shade to indicate an interior space • I made the left eye too big and too round; it should have been the same size or slightly smaller than the other, and more of a vertical ovoid • feather texture. Wtfwit with this bits next to the mouth? things I like/am proud of: • I used a reference image for this one and honestly it came out rather well overall • the feather coloring pattern • the eyebrows (eye ridges? Birds don't have eyebrows as such, right?) • #hescrem
