ok but going back and thinking about it, i’m not sure why i said that it would be bill who keeps the fish alive. i feel very strongly that it is bill, but it goes against the way that they are. gabe is a partier, but he’s also got his shit together mostly.  bill is a mess tbh. it would seem logical that gabe can take care of the fish.

but for some reason everything tells me that it’s bill and i’ve been thinking about it and i’ve come to think that it’s because bill needs something to ground him. the fact that these very small, living, breathing creatures depend on his getting out of bed everyday helps him live. and now i’m super emotional about bill beckett and some imaginary goldfish

Who:

collects rocks - Bill collects pretty rocks.  He like the texture of them, the look of them.  Gabe has an actual pet rock.  Gabe’s pet rock is not allowed near Bill’s collection.

takes pictures of the other while they’re asleep - Both.  Gabe takes them because Bill is beautiful when he sleeps.  Bill takes them because Gabe looks like an idiot when he sleeps.

gets drunk and breaks shit - Bill.

can’t swim - Bill (Gabe grew up on the East Coast.  Are you kidding me, of course he swims)

remembers to feed the fish - Bill.  “I can’t believe the fish have lasted this long. I’ve never been able to keep one alive for more than a week.”  “That’s because I feed them, Gabriel.”

puts up Christmas decorations in November - Bill. Obviously.  But Gabe’s electric menorah in the window is nice too.

makes Sims just to drown them in the pool - Gabe.

brings the other coffee at work - Gabe.
