i’m a music student in college, and for my music theory final i chose to write my paper on “mama” by mcr. by the end, it was 15 pages. everyone else’s was about 3-5 pages. i had been asking my prof (who has a doctorate in composition and teaches songwriting as well) logistical questions all semester. he would make mcr jokes pointed at me in class all the time. upon checking my grade just now, this was his only feedback.
