The 1st time I tasted Chardonnay was at a training at the Original @houlihans On The Plaza, in #KCMO (Hess Select Chardonnay) - fresh out of the @marines & diving into the restaurant biz, headfirst. I told my manager it was horrible, & I stand by that today. It was like drinking oak bark, which might be good if one is a termite… Fast-forward 22 years & I’m drinking #hessselect & finding it to be greatly improved.
