When: 8th March Where: Hogwarts Who: @hestiajones
When Sturgis said Hestia would be difficult, he hadn’t been kidding. Frank had read the previous Auror’s notes multiple times, and there was nothing. He hoped, maybe naively so, that he’d have better luck. But she ignored all his owls. So he took the next step, going to her. “Jones. A word?”

“Guess who I am!”
So, there was going to be an official meeting and Maddy was invited and Maddy was sick to her stomach because of this official meeting that she was invited to.
She knew of course that she didn’t have to participate or perform, that, in fact, no one was probably going to even pay attention to her. And even if she did say something and it was embarrassing and stupid, they’d probably forgive her for being so young and so new. Except that. Maddy wouldn’t be Maddy if she didn’t come with a three-page long bullet point list of things she’d like to suggest, a little speech towards how brilliant Maurice Creevey was, as well as a full-fledged plan concerning the future of Muggleborns within the Order. After all, she hadn’t been assigned Head of House for nothing.
And because there was just so much stakes and so much to do, she was anxious. Worried she might fuck it up and would never be taken serious again.Â
Her spiralling thoughts and the ever-same parts of her speech passing her lips in a mumble were suddenly interrupted though, when she reached the room they were going to meet in and saw that despite being almost thirty minutes early, she wasn’t at all the first. And the astonishment only grew when she saw who that other person was, and why she wasn’t surprised at all that they were even earlier than her.Â
In a little bounce, she snuck up to Hestia Jones -- her old school friend and partner in crime for various years --Â from behind, then covered her eyes.

after somehow existing out on the dancefloor, a feat that would take him time to even adjust into accepting as reality, he had needed a seat. though not one without the presence of a filled plate. as goyle took his seat at a table, he did so with a collection from the buffet, and of that a bite already in his mouth as their butt met the chair. after a minute of settling in, chewing, leaning back, greg had looked to his side, only just then noticing the table had not been empty. "you try the treacle tart?" he asked after swallowing his bite down, adam's apple bobbing harshly.

Edgar exited the meetings room with his finger resting on his lips. More than pensive, he was lost in his thoughts. Their plan to rescue Ryland was more or less perfected now, it required nothing else but for Emma to tell them the exact time when the Greengrass would leave their house for the debutante ball, and the protagonists of the mission. How many. Some argued it should be more than three, others said that a mere team was already risky. Edgar was not so sure himself. All he knew was that asking anyone outside the Inner Circle was a risk to the mission. Too many untrustworthy people around, as Caradoc would say.
It was just then, when his thoughts circled back to Frank Longbottom, that his gaze fell on Hestia Jones. At the Estate on a day where there was no general meeting, she was waiting close by the doors of the meetings room where the Inner Circle had just discussed fairly private matters. And yet. Edgar couldn’t bring himself to feel any form of mistrust towards her. He sighed. This was why he needed Caradoc, wasn’t it? If only Caradoc hadn’t been the one to tell him not to wait for Ryland any longer...
By Merlin, he needed to change his thoughts. His hand fell loose to hang beside him as he took a step towards the youngest Order member. “Miss Jones?” He was tired, visibly so, with his skin pale and worn from the many sleepness nights he had behind him, but nevertheless, he managed to greet her with a soft smile. “A good thing I see you here, I was looking for an extra help. But, is there anything I may help you with first?” After all, she was certainly not at the Potter Estate for pleasure, was she?
Ice, Ice, Baby || Hestia & Betty
Betty walked down to the Entrance Hall bundled up in a thick winter coat as well as a hat, gloves and scarf. She was wearing trainers which could easily by transfigured into skates and she had put on leggings instead of jeans so that it wouldn't be as uncomfortable if they got wet. She had been dying to do something outside and get some fresh air, but she hadn't been able to think of anything to do until Hestia had mentioned wanting to go out to the lake. Why ice skating hadn't occurred to her, she didn't know. All the time before she started at Hogwarts, she was persuading her mum to take her into London to go to the ice rink, and though she knew that it was important that she check the lake before she and Hestia went onto it - otherwise, all joking aside, they would be paying the giant squid a cold, wet visit - she was quite excited to get started. She adjusted her scarf around her neck and hopped down the marble staircase, over to the main doors for outside, where her Hufflepuff friend was waiting. "You ready, Hes?" she asked with a grin, starting to push the doors open to go outside. She looked out, glad to see that it wasn't actually snowing and stepped through the door, holding it for Hestia to follow. "It's been ages since I've ice skated," she commented nostagically.
