Delay

I say it's avoiding arguments,

That help would be rejected,

Say there's nothing I could do,

Anything to delay trying.

A hand many times burned hesitates,

But sometimes still will reach out,

For all that's learnt it's not prevented,

Just delayed of when reaction is given.

FOOLISH WAS I

i was hesitant in the beginning

but you led me to believe

in taking chances and taking a leap.

and so i leapt

like a fool i jumped

i pretended that everything wasn’t going to end

how foolish was i.

and now look at us. 

you not over her.

when i gave you my all.

you took it without knowing how much i gave.

but it wasn’t enough and you took without knowing

and now the crazy is all that’s left in my head.

like a fool i have fallen

like a fool i have been hurt.

i don’t want to be down

i just want to feel alive again.
