Scrubbing

Hands raw, skin raw,

Pain from cleaning,

Scrubbing everything away.

It couldn't wait another day.

and if i ever caused you pain

just know that it hurts me too

Dressed in pristine white.

Here rests an angel.

Between ashes and lime.

His identity was burned.

Heaven has abandoned him.

this has been my favorite word. reverie, as beautiful as it is. a reminder of what could be, so we can rise and turn it into what is.
