It was raining that afternoon.

There's no war council, no enemy attack, nothing. It's just a cozy day for him and her, sitting comfortably side by side. He was trying to make a new medicine, experimenting each of the outcome of the herbs that he is mixing in one bowl after another. While she is beside him, designing a new fashion for the maids of the castle and starts to sew the moment she is done.

The smell of rain blew into the room, as it is also were added with the smell of flowers from the nearby garden. She smiled to this serene moments, and it caught his eyes when he unconsciously turn his head towards his left the moment he's about to take some of the herbs on that side.

She is really beautiful. She glowed every time she smiled; the smell from her hair is what sooth his heart right now, despite the smell of rain conquered their bedchamber. She blinked as he lean into her, and without any words exchanged, she lowered her eyes to his lips. Her grip on the fabric tightened the moment they shared their kiss after a kiss. Light kisses of one, two, three, and he peck on the corner of her lips, down to her jaw, chin, the side of her neck, her collarbone, and back to her neck again.

She snake her hands into his hair locks, tugging on it gently all the time he was kissing her. "Ieyasu.." She cup his cheeks, bringing him back to her lips once again. He rested his forehead on hers, smiling to her flushed face. "You are still blushing even when we are already married, hm?""..Oh..? Aren't we in the same boat?" She grinned before he gave her a last peck on the nose before lifting her up. "Honey? Where are we going?"

"It's such a nice weather to sleep. Besides, your fingers are getting cold--you wouldn't want to get sick right?" She hummed, resting her head on his shoulder. "You just wanted to cuddle right?""...Hmh."

Then they kissed again, and again. They keep on kissing until he lay her down onto the futon, hugging each other tight in their embrace, still not pulling away from one another. Ieyasu might be well known with his cold contrary attitude out there, but she knows very well on how a snuggler he is when they are alone. Only when they are alone, he didn't even show it in front of the kids too.

He kissed her forehead, and she kissed on his cheek, pulling him close to rest her head in the crook of his neck. "How was your medicine making lately?" She started. "..It was interesting on the outcomes of each blend of herbs, but it was tiring at the same time." He huffed into her hair, "..to take a note and to remember all that.."

Ieyasu enjoyed his side task as a doctor of Azuchi. But at times she will spoiled him by listening to all the small rants that never came out to other warlords. "You want me to help you next time?" She lift her head, kissing his jaw. He sigh into the kiss, looking down at her with a bored expression.

But she knew he was happy.

"Only when you are free from your seamstress work. Don't waste your time on me much." He said it while nuzzling his nose onto hers, and she giggled to another of his cute habits when they were snuggling. "Awww~ let me help you every now and then okay?" He paused. "The kids will be all sulky if you didn't play with them again." He raise his eyebrows as he continued, "And then they will blame me for having you all to myself." He frowned, resuming to nuzzle on her nose. She giggled at this, pecking on his lips lightly. "Or we can do it all together? You know how excel your kids are when it comes to their studies and even though it's like that.. They do enjoyed medicines knowledge too. Hmm?"

Fine.

He couldn't say no to that face.

He knew very well how much of a genius his kids are, but they are just like him. Every time their eyes found their mother, there will be a war of whom she will spend time with. But at least, there is a mutual understanding that their mother will always love them equally.

But of course, more of the love is for her husband.
