Bard's phone lights up in the dark, waking him up. He fumbles to reach it and read whatever notification was important enough to send at this time of night. Squinting in the light of the screen, he reads first the time: 3:07 AM, and then the text message from– King Knight? Asking to go for a walk? Bard has… more than a few questions. Why him? Why now? Where would they walk? Where is he right now? Is something wrong? He sits up in bed, and does his best at typing back a message: "Sure. Be right there"
He stretches, not quite ready to leave the comfort of his bed yet. But he has someone waiting for him, so he can't linger. He pulls himself out of bed and clumsily gets dressed, forgoing the helmet and lute but leaving his hat. He heads downstairs, making sure to be quiet as to not wake anyone, and opens the door– to almost literally run into King Knight.
"Jeez!" He hisses. "You didn't tell me you were right outside!" He sighs, readjusting his hat. "Is everything okay? Where are we going?"
