Um hewwo i love your art a lot and i was wondering like where you started w it did you use references and all, how you learnt facial structure, all that sghshabsba have a great day
aw, thank you! that's so sweet. i started as one usually does, copying from drawing books/comics/anime (those count as references too btw) and yeah i still use refs!! websites like pinterest and line-of-action.com, they were (are) my god. i mostly taught myself anatomy from pinterest and comic books, and it's worked out well so far, so i recommend it :) trying to identify what you like in your favourite artists, in your own time ofc, and then trying to incorporate that into your work is good too! it's not plagiarism to be inspired. you're never creating something new, you just recycle a bunch of stuff that's in your head already.
other than all of that, practise makes perfect. though, you'll learn soon into the process that perfect is impossible, but it's where you're aiming anyway, because then you'll fall close to it, and this is true for every art form. pouring over every detail until i can finally get it to look the way i want it to, and then seeing the end result is worth it to me :) also? make sure the main reason you do art is you. it's easy to get caught up in social media appreciation (<- it's different when you make a living though, numbers sorta matter) but at then end of the day, make sure it makes you happy because you DO it and not because a bunch of people like it.
Everything that had happen within the past day was now a blur to them.
From what they recall, they were first working on a case in their office. Nothing too out of the ordinary, obviously. Secondly, they were given... another case, though with the possibility of spy work. It was okay--unwanted, but the work seemed easy enough to avoid said possibility.
Quietly walking towards the Kirijo mansion, they gently used the brass knocker and awaited an answer. Of course, they hadn’t expected to immediately be pulled in and have a chloroform rag used on them. They attempted to hold their breath, but due to the unexpected turn of things, it wasn’t possible. They fell slack in the man’s arms, soon being taken to an unknown place.
Now? They stood in front of the famed Mitsuru Kirijo, with two men standing on either side of themselves. Seems like the men expected things to go awry. Frowning, Naoto looked Mitsuru in the eyes, too confused to even think about the woman’s beauty.
“... You’re not the person from before.” They murmured, their voice low and breathy. “Tell me... is this what always happens, when you have guests? What even are your intentions?”
@facetsofdaydreams sent in a case file regarding mitsuru kirijo.
a body slams down into the seat next to noctis, socked feet propping themselves up on the table in front of the two of them, ankles crossed. his hands come to rest behind his head and prompto glances over at his best friend, huge grin in place. ❝ glad we sprung for the motel, right ? so much better than camping. ❞ he’s already thinking about the soft bed that awaits him at bedtime. || @ochsn
