💗 - How long does it take your muse to fall in love?

💐 - What small things go a long way for your muse? What small favors can someone do to get on their good side?

💗 - she either falls in love after hating someone's guts, or the second she sees them in her sights. there's not really any indication or rhyme or reason for it. i stole this behavior from the way anne rice wrote lestat, who in the books just falls in love with just about anyone ( or at least holds some fascination with people he sees ), no matter how shallow the connection may ultimately be.

💐 - she loves feeling special in some way, and she loves gifts. if you make her feel like you thought of her, she'll eat that shit up fr.

The other day I watched a history documentary about witch hunts in Europe, which by the way, started in Germany ("the heartland of the witch craze"); in Trier, to be specific. I lived an hour drive away from Trier for 5 years.

It occurred to me even more, just how utterly absurd and nonsensical it all was, because witch hunters themselves, prominent leaders of them even, would later have the tables turned against them and be accused, even executed, for being witches. That's how you know, the witch hunts were never about witches.

And it made me think for a moment: is that why I couldn't find anybody who called themselves a witch near and far from me when I was living in Germany. Because it's a country that's certainly sensitive to its history.

Cross-armed, his talon-sharp fingers slide over the fabric of his cloak, slow circular motions grasping softly at it as he considers her statement.

His eyes had narrowed when she began, for she spoke a matter she's brought up more than he'd like, and though he enjoys their word-fought skirmishes he also grows weary of the dismissive tone that often accompanies her warnings.

But this is not one of those times. And in accordance, his gaze is now bereft of judgement, following instead the path of stray thoughts running through his mind. Pending hypotheses, unproven methods to delay such a demise, and the thought of it all failing to bring about a different end.

Does she harbor fear? Or is that something lost to her now given everything? When was it lost if it was ever present for her at all?

⸻ 𝑶𝑵 𝑭𝑬𝑨𝑹. Fear is a human condition & Judith is every bit human, even if it seems unlikely. It's a physical recognition, the body feels it, reacts to it, but her cognitive function is severed, it doesn't quite sink in that she's afraid. ( in the end, the body recognizes danger, even if she doesn't. ) Sometimes, if it's too much, I like thinking she'd get confuse enough to think it's love or something that resembles it. So it's there, but her mental constitution, whether it's a strange kind of self-preservation or not, has her acting 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒚. * More likely than not, it's a welcomed misery, something about feeling alive again and all that edgy crap. I'm rolling my eyes, can you tell ?
