Hey, so, it’s Hump Day. Feeling stuck in the middle of your week? I have an Idyllwild fic to help you get over the hump and on to your weekend... but because it’s more than a little NSFW, I’m posting it at FIVE PM TONIGHT CST instead of the usual morning time. So, happy hump day, I’ll have some smut for you when you’re done with work... or whatever.
yesterday i told mike he should light the couch on fire and he almost did but then he didn't and that's why i love him
I should clarify weed doesn't make you see weird little guys I'm just kinda built a little weird and wired a little oddly but in a cool way
Sup tumblr, I got engaged in Japan
I got a blanket out of the big bin becuase we have a little shelf to keep them now and I wanted a bit of variety. I washed it today but it was in the bin so long it still smells like the laundry at the old place: Musty, sweaty, and as I complained often back then, kind of like feet.
It's a smell that brings the feel of how things used to be. The half-broken washer that never got cleaned in almost 5 years, whether that was on us or the landlord I will never know. They never responded so we stopped requesting maintenance after a short time there, a broken garbage disposal and frozen pipes didn't seem too bad in exchange for our peace. The general hopeful run-downness of the whole place falling slowly into disrepair, so that you had to learn how to light a water heater and I got good at holding walls together with neon duct tape.
The openness of that house in the amount of space in which to Do Things, and the huge outdoor space we also had the privilege of calling ours (even though only a sliver of it really was), but also the feeling of stagnation just beyond that radius...it was right to leave. I don't know if we'll ever plan our life around staying Anywhere for long. We're making memories here too, so far away. And better-smelling laundry.
But it's hard on a quiet morning not to miss walking the deserted lots or reading on the covered porch. Blasting music as loud as we wanted from your broken speakers, wandering on acid through those woods across the way. You practicing with your bow down by the pond. Walking around back to visit Peetie. My little garden that never produced a thing.
I think when I go back to GR I would like to visit the old place, if they haven't knocked it down--no, even if they have--and thank it for what it gave to us: A place for our love to bloom into partnership, and then plenty of space to grow.
