cutie-tabootie replied to your post “saw the rocko’s modern life preview for the reboot nick is really...”
I'm so excited for it and Jungle Movie! Really, Nick is so much better at these things than Cartoon Network.
Kind of a shame that they’re better at reboots than original series.

“--Does that really make people tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
Because I don’t know how many people can handle it--
The truth.”
His internal monologue is ‘please get the reference, please get it.’

Jesse’s response would’ve been more amused if he wasn’t busy coming back to. The outlaw pushed himself upright with a grunt, teetering in his position as he pressed the heel of his palm to forehead. He’d not been hit over the head with a gun in a hell of a long time- most didn’t manage to get that close. He’d definitely be feeling it in the morning.
“Mmm, laugh it up.”
He looked up to the archer who, while they were likely the reason Jesse was only knocked out and not much worse, did not appear to have much interest in helping him up. Jesse huffed when he realized his expectant look was only being met coolly, and then braced metallic hand against the pavement as he pushed himself back up to his feet.
He tenderly prodded at his brow again, pulling hand back to the sight of already drying blood on his fingers, though it was expected. Not enough to be a concern. He muttered a curse under his breath, rubbing his hand off on his pants before he turned his gaze back towards the other again.
“Good to know next time I find ya spread out I can just leave ya put,” there was a hint of a teasing threat in Jesse’s tone, but no harder feelings showed. Maybe, the lightness of his tone conveyed a bit of unspoken thanks, but perhaps it was just natural inflection. Jesse certainly wasn’t going to confirm which it was.
"So how good of a salesman are ya? Pitch me somethin." //lmao hello//
“Oooh that’s rich. Reeeal funny. The only thing I’ll be pitching you is a rock to the head.
I uh...I-I’m sorry...
To be honest...I wasn’t a great salesman...had lotsa’ doors slammed in my face. But apparently I wasn’t horrible enough to get fired. Wasn’t good enough to get in that damn vault either though...”
