Merry Christmas @heyraspa, since Chris, Ashley and Josh are your fave characters and "Josh has an insane movie collection" (I can definitely see that) here's all of them watching horror movies huddled together lol

For femslash february - Feeling up for any Scielune? Maybe them relishing that brief moment of being a little wine drunk 😋
Lune had worried back at the fire that it would be an awkward thing, stilted maybe, or out of place, but as she lay in the grass beside Sciel, the sky twinkling above them, she was pleasantly surprised to find it was simply...familiar, and comfortable, and pleasant.
"What are you whispering to them tonight?" she asked, her own voice lowered for reasons she couldn't quite name - a worry, perhaps, of interrupting something she shouldn't, inviting herself into a moment that wasn't hers.
A shortly lived one.
"Much too much," Sciel said before laughing, her scar bunching as she wrinkled her nose and squeezed shut her eyes and rolled from her back to her side such that she could lay her head on Lune's shoulder, "much too much and then some."
And if the fire had made her warm and the wine made her warmer, then this made her warmer even still; she found herself smiling and laughing along with her, the usual weight in her chest and on her shoulders made wondrously light as her fingers found her hair and she asked, "Are they saying anything back?"
"Only that there are better things I could be doing tonight," she answered, a hint of something coy in her voice as she shifted, pressed her lips to the curve of her jaw, "things we could both be doing, I suppose."
Hey! I noticed you were also playing Metaphor - thoughts so far? (I myself am only a few paltry hours in)
Would love to give you my total thoughts right now, but I am also only a few paltry hours in cause I just started yesterday fbdndmskdhd. I only just officially met Hulkenburg and quit right in front of the catacombs entrance.
But I'm enjoying it so far! The music has been fun (even if I've been finishing the battle to quick to really actually listen to it alas) and the story seems interesting. The couple of characters I've met (and lost) seem engaging and I can't wait to learn more about them.
If anything though, I think my most concrete thought when I booted it up for the first time was questioning if I was playing a game or watching an anime lmao. Like no complaints the animation's been absolutely gorgeous but *man* did those cutscenes go on for a while.
Hope you've been enjoying it so far as well!
Queenie, out of curiosity, do you have a guess at all to the amount of Six Sentence Weekend requests you have done over the years? I was eyeballing that your OG post has over 200 reblogs (I know mostly from you reusing it to advertised) and I imagine every time you do them, you're doing /at least/ a handful. Do you feel they have helped you with your overall writing process? Do you feel there is a difference in when you first started doing them versus now, in how you approach them or their ease, or truth be told, their length as you've masterfully have used 6 sentences to their fullest capacity?
raspa you got me sitting over here with my thinking cap on, i'll tell you what 🤔
in all honesty, i could not guess at how many i've done - lord help me i just checked the tag on my blog and there are one hundred and eighty-four tERRIFYING pages altogether asldkjfdf A LOT is my final answer, i've done A LOT sljdfksjdf 🤣
but i do think they've helped!!! i like to think of these weekend flash fictiony things as the writing version of sketching, if that makes sense??? i don't really do warm-ups, per se, before sitting down to write, but i go into these prompts cold and just kind of MAKE MYSELF write something. it's also been great because you guys' brains work SO DIFFERENTLY from mine, so i'm regularly getting asks for characters/ships/scenarios i neeeeeever would've thought of on my own. sometimes that really gets the ol' noggin chugging, and it ends up helping me come up with solutions for issues in my big projects, OR it just whets my appetite for certain things and i go crazy like a poe protagonist until i start a new one hehehehehehe
it's also for SURE easier now then when i first started BECAUSE of that ^^^ when i first jumped into this exercise around the time of the pandemic, i got pretty anxious whenever someone asked for something outside of my typical comfort zone, but now it's like EH OKAY LET'S SEE WHAT COMES OUT THIS TIME. i think getting into the idea that they're practice, or warm-ups, or (again) "sketches" has really helped with that sense of ease. i'm not out here trying to write My Next Big Fic, i'm just having fun and (hopefully!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) brightening someone else's day/inspiring THEM in some way :P
but as for unlocking the fullest capacity of the 6 sentences, well...i don't know if i've gotten there yet 🥺 maybe one day i'll put together a string of sentences as impactful as the opening para of my immortal, but until then...i just...keep...striving 😤
Halloween request - the first trick or treaters the hanged man has ever gotten.
"I'm...still not sure I understand, entirely - " and yeah, the crease between her eyebrows said as much, but there was a smile playing at her lips anyway, a slight upturn that suggested she wasn't quite as baffled as she was letting on, " - are we going in there to rob Corff, then?"
Before Hawke could so much as open her mouth, Isabela had wound herself around Merrill's shoulders, gasping, "Kitten...nooo, I promise you, this is a widely accepted tradition!"
"Now remind me, is this particular tradition Rivaini in origin," Varric cut in, snickering to himself when he received an elbow to the ribs, "or pirate?"
"It couldn't be simpler: We enter the Hanged Man or any other business of our choosing, we kindly ask the proprietor whether they have anything they'd like to treat us to, and if they say no, well..." Isabela paused there, shrugging with force enough to send both hers and Merrill's jewelry jangling, "...we play a naughty little trick on them, that's all."
"...so we are robbing Corff, then."
"Merrill, don't be insensitive," Hawke smirked, "I for one welcome this tradition - with open arms, in fact!"
Hey Queenie, asking for one of these two tear jerkers: Your Warden succumbing to the call Or
Sorry, but Hawkes internal monologue before/as they volunteer to enter the fade
"Did you think it mattered, Hawke? Did you think anything you did mattered?" the Nightmare crooned, its voice all poisoned honey and worm-eaten dry rot, and for an instant, a moment, a second, fleeting and unspeakable, she doubted - she did.
"Going to have to try a little harder than that," she shot back, her voice thin as one, two, three more demons fell at her feet, "coming from my mother, that'd almost be praise!"
Something jogged loose at the joke, a tiny pebble she'd artfully wedged in just the right spot years and years ago; as soon as it fell, the rest crumbled with it, and while her step did not slow and her blade did not fall, it became suddenly impossible to think of anything but Bethany, and Carver, and Father, and how Lothering had burned, and how Kirkwall had burned, and how, laid low at last by nothing more than the loneliness she herself had never touched, Mother had burned, too.
Worse than the Blight, that's what she always said, Hawke found herself thinking, a mad laugh growing deep in her lungs even as she felt her eyes begin to well, I'm worse than the Blight, because at least the Blight will kill you in the end...I just keep taking...and taking...and breaking everything around me.
"Inquisitor," she called, helpless to bite the giggle down when the other woman caught her eye, "I just decided: That one's mine - I want to prove my mother right."
hey queenie, this is not a writing prompt ask, just curious how your Hawke would be different if you picked M!Hawke instead? Or would the overall personality/romances be the same. (sorry if you do have canon m!hawke content in your blog and ive missed it).
well HEY raspa!!! sorry this one took me a second to get to - i'm so used to thinking terms of my usual fhawke that reading mhawke momentarily made me bluescreen aslkdjflkasjdflsjdf jfc i don't know that i HAVE mentioned any canon mhawke thoughts before..................i've been so deep in the non-romanceable npc trenches i've lost sight of everything else 😤 my god
honestly, i've only played through as mhawke a couple times, and, because i'm predictable...he's always been purrrrrple hahahahaha there's just something so enticing about a protag so endlessly sarcastic that it becomes a problem for everyone around them, know what i mean?????? i just...i just always come back to purple. no matter the worldstate, my hawke??? PURPLE. saying the funniest thing at the worst possible time and getting HELLISH looks in the process. being the worst kind of person at every possible opportunity and STILL being the best chance kirkwall's got. it's too irresistible a character choice for me askldfkdjf
but, that being said, i've also always gone mage with mhawke (gotta dig into that complicated brotherly relationship with carver from time to time hehe!!!), instead of my usual rogue obsession, and honestlyyyyyyyyy i really dig the romance being a fenris/hawke/isabela sort of situation 👀 still reaching for the things bioware won't give me. still plugging my ears and LALALALALAing my way through it all ;P some things never change, i guess
and now im intrigued - how do YOUR hawkes overlap, if at all??? 😏
things may change in the world but Ash's ability to get attached to toxic wlw couples from media that have lots and lots of blood is always to be relied on (im enjoying seeing your scream and yellowjackets brainrot)
i am NOTHING!! if not consistent tee hee
and thank u thank u, glad ur enjoying the descent into madness as much as i am :]
