Who ya gonna call? Bizarre Yet Bonafide! a CREEPs fic by TheIcyQueen
No. More. Ghost hunting. That was the plan – the promise. Ashley’s been possessed not once but TWICE since Sam joined their little paranormal team, and nope, nuh-uh, no way is she letting it happen a third time! Absolutely not. Better that they all stick to the podcast thing, hanging out on the couch while telling each other scary stories. Except…now the refrigerator’s in on it, and there’s a FRANTIC email from a desperate family begging them for help, and what other choice do they have?! It seems like the CREEPs have one more job to get through before they can retire from the ghost game for good. But ghosts aren’t the worst thing waiting for them in Hackett’s Quarry. Not by a long shot.
New chapters every Friday over on AO3!
The kind of bad day where an incorrect food order is what puts you on the edge of a rooftop.
Wait…did Josh use a recording of Sam screaming “Please, no!” to lure Chris and Ashley into the room with the dummy in her clothes?
If so, that’s actually insane.
i was alseep but woke up and couldnt go back to sleep cus i felt the urge to write about chris, so instead i rewrote the first scene in my fic.
As his eyes opened the sun through the curtain sat on his face, it shun in his bright blew, watery eyes, making him feel warm. He rolled onto his side, feeling his face on his white pillowcase that glowed from the sun reflecting off, he checked the time ‘6:04’ the man scrunched his face, almost melting, and squinted his eyes while he sat up and dropped his legs off the bed, he then used one hand and rubbed his face downward then rubbed his waterlines, his other hand was stinging from laying on it too long. He picked up his glasses and took a deep, sudden inhale then as the air left his breath he instantly yawned, squinting his eyes once again while his eyes watered.
He smacked on his glasses and twisted his body to see his woman lying asleep with her bang covering her face, he bent backward, body still twisted, and with his middle finger he pushed her hair gently off her forehead, revealing her beauty. The man grinned and sat up straight and brushed his short blond hair back with his fingers. He pushed himself off the bed and yawned once more revealing an extra chin and wrinkled forehead. He slowly tip toed in an uncomfortable manner towards his wardrobe while clenching his fist that felt almost like white noise shooting through his veins.
He pulled his grey night shirt off as the neckline got caught on his ears, pinging them as he ripped it off his head, his glasses were wonky and his hair was a state again. He then picked up a polo shirt hanging up and tore it off the hanger, silently throwing it back into the wardrobe and sliding his bulged arms through the shirt fitting it onto his body. As he fixed the collar he heard tussling behind him.
“Chris?” His fiancee called, she sounded hoarse, “Ash?” he sounded worse. She breathed in heavy, she was tucked deeply in her covers. “I don’t think I can work today.” she stretched her legs as her feet stuck out the bottom of the scrunched quilt. “Oh, no, are you okay?” he sincerely asked, remembering she felt a little off yesterday. “My head, Chris.” She pushed her face into the quilt and muffled her voice.
Christopher made his way towards her side of the bed and pushed his hair back again. He bent down and felt her forehead, it was warm, warmer than usual. He wondered why he wouldn’t feel it when pushing her fringe off her face till he rubbed his finger and thumb together and felt his calloused, thick skin. ‘Makes sense.’ he thought to himself. “Geez, Ashley you’re burning. Hun, take the blanket off.” She didn’t. He bent down and kissed her face. Stood up and head to the window to ventilate the stale air. It was getting hotter as the month went on.
He grabbed underwear shorts and hid in the bathroom to urinate too. Washing his hands he heard Ash shuffle in the quilt. He smiled slightly. He was crazy about his woman, would do anything for her. “Chris?” he called through a breath. “Honey?” he called back gently. She sat up and scrunched her face and raised her arms and stretched, her loose vest raising with her arms. He stepped out the bathroom with a bathroom towel in his hands. “What time does your shift finish?” He threw the hand towel on the rack and opened his wardrobe again, pulling out his work cargos “Well, i have one job today which is quite far out then I’m done, so i’ll probably be back around 4, if that’s okay with you?” He smirked, putting one foot in his pants at a time. “I’ll let it slide, this one time.” she beamed a toothless grin.
As he finished buckling his pants he reached for a stick of deodorant from the bathroom and made his way to Ashley once again. “Be good.” He kissed her mouth, she kissed back. “I will.” she laid back down and got comfortable. He put the deodorant back and run his hand under the tap then through his hair. “I’ll call the office and let them know you’re off sick, don’t worry about it.” his voice echoed faintly out the room. no response, she probably drifted off already. He stepped towards his bedside table and grabbed his phone, ‘38%’.
‘dang it, I’ll have to charge it in the van.’ then out of habit, he checked his watch. ‘6:16’.
ooh haven’t posted about until dawn in like 50 billion years but my GOD the changes being made to the characters kill me every day. like, some argue that it’s how they were intended to be from the start, but like, “Ashley Snaps” makes NOOOOO sense if the intention was for her to be all torn up about Chris!!! Sam rolling her eyes while her bff is being set up cruelly is just not in character (based on the old game)! And now I have to argue with people about whether Sam actually DESERVED the prank (nobody deserved it idc) because the version of the game that came out TEN YEARS LATER said that actually she was ignoring it the whole time when in the original she wasn’t. I hate it here so much.
Any Matt and Ashley headcanons for when they were kids?
Honestly I’m heavily inspired by Trick r Treat, specifically Rhonda and Schrader.
But…
Matt approached her first. She was quiet, and though he could usually keep up with the other kids it felt like it didn’t ever end or slow down with them, so he gravitated toward this girl who was always ill and missing class — so much so that when he first saw her he thought she was new to his school. She was cute too but he didn’t really wanna dwell on that…
Ashley for her part liked him. His excitement was infectious and it just felt good to look forward to something for once. Before now the most she had going for her were late not marathons of cold case files with her big sister, and sadly for Ashley Kate had a life and didn’t want to hang around Sniffles all day every day. Matt was nice. He wasn’t pushy so when he would plead with her to go along with something she felt more obliged to run with it.
They were about ten years old and then whenever by the time they started seeing each other less.
Matt, his friend Jess, and her friend Emily wanted to scrounge around the woods where the older kids had been partying the night before on Halloween, hoping to find something ‘cool’ left behind. Ashley, having been with the three the night prior really didn’t want to go — she didn’t gel with Matt’s other friends at all and spending more time with them just seemed like an invitation to find reasons to like her even less. But Matt didn’t see the issue and Ashley didn’t want to miss out on time with maybe the only one at school who actually did like her.
They left early enough that they missed the beginnings of a panic getting stirred up, but, never mind that.
It ended up being the last time they’d hang out until high school. For some reason Ashley felt the need to avoid Matt. Even she couldn’t fully explain why, nor could Matt explain why he was so desperate when reaching out despite getting stonewalled at every turn. Not why despite the events we know to take place later on, Emily and Jess were constantly at one another’s houses for sleepovers with the few nights they weren’t spent getting caught on the homesite one another into the early morning.
Oh yeah so happy childhood HCs
Yeah read more time.
Another ranked vote - Until Dawn
I'm not counting my last ranked vote because all the questions guessing about what Until Dawn 2 is are now obsolete.
But here is one asking which characters you'd most want to return, then questions asking you to rank ships for each characters... just to fluff up the poll lol.
Ranked vote questions. How ranked vote works is that you get to assign a rank to each option. For example, assigning something as "1" woul
