13. Are there any songs that have a special meaning to you? Why?wow I just realized it’s probably easier to ask me which TK songs don’t have a special meaning to me?? I had to narrow down A LOT
“All These Things That I’ve Done” was my main anthem for a long while when my self-worth and direction in life got completely lost on the way through high school. And then most of the album Sam’s Town is wildly personal to me. “Read My Mind” was and is my entire world when I was trying to get over a bad heartbreak, “Sam’s Town” and “Bling” are so special because they have this narrative of the small town kid who dared to dream bigger than the place he was from? And “Why Do I Keep Counting?” is...... so.... like... I can’t describe it but it’s like Brandon read all my diaries and knew what it’s like to have all those doubts and fears..... it’s incredibly comforting
Also “Neon Tiger” from Day & Age is super important. I can’t help but feel, everytime I hear it, that the lyrics and Brandon’s singing is directed at me, and not just me, but specifically younger and more scared version of myself who just really needed someone. That was huge. And THESE LYRICS: I don’t wanna be kept, I don’t wanna be caged, I don’t wanna be damned, oh hell
45. Have you ever converted someone into a TK fan? Spill the tea on how it happened: I showed a close friend Mr. Brightside, spicy pictures of Brandiva, and the music video for Read My Mind. A month later her phone was full of Bronnie gifs aND SHE WAS ONE OF US
