“We’re going to get caught!”

“Naaah, don’t worry about it, man!” Jihyun waves her hand dismissively, already punching in the security code to open the door. It does look pretty suspicious with the two of them standing out, but she wasn’t worried in the slightest. “I know the people who own this place. If they find us here, just leave it to me.”

“Are you okay?”

It was cold and windy and biting enough that Jiho could trick himself and maybe a few other people into thinking that his shaking hands were from the chill and his watering eyes were from the December weather– and nothing at all had to do with the tornado of emotions racking through his system at something so simple as a text message from his mom. Who he hadn’t seen in two years. Who had kicked him out when he was 17. Who didn’t have anything to say to him except that he still had clothes in a box in the basement.

But when he heard someone ask if he’s okay, he quickly hid his cellphone and stood up straight, immediately smiling through watery eyes (damn, it’s cold out here). “I’m fine.” Didn’t he look fine? He was totally fine– this was the definition of fine.

Zinnia: Who was your best friend when you were six years old?

Because of her super friendly attitude, Kisum never had any troubles making friends. The problem though, is that, with the numerous amount of her friends, she never seemed to have someone she could call a best friend. Most, if not all, were her close friends, but a best friend is someone she has yet to know or experience.

Locust: What was your favorite book as a child?  

Kisum was never the reading type when she was young, unlike the present times where she reads manga and young adult books more than she should. However, there is this book that her mother always reads when she doesn’t want to sleep yet. It was titled “Adventures in the Big Thicket”, a book that she begged her mother to buy for her because of the pretty yet mysterious cover. In summary, the book was about talking animals living in, well, a thicket. There were fourteen tales all in all, with the interesting characters never failing to amuse her with their misadventures.

Heliconia: Do you like when it rains? 

 “I do! I absolutely love it. Not really in a ‘let’s go outside and play’ way – although I did have my moments like that back in New York – but more in a ‘let’s stay inside and drink something warm and talk about life’ kind of way.”  

Orange Blossom: If you could pick the gender and appearance of your child, would you? 

“Nah, because I’d be fine with any gender – let’s be real, I’m probably not gonna stop at one anyway – and how they look is not as important as how they grow, their manners, how they see everything in this world… all that stuff. Just… having a kid would be amazing. Not right now though! Woah. Like… not yet. I ain’t ready for that yet. But someday, for sure. Yeah.”
