In a mad rush to make it to work on time (because lately, oversleeping has become a bad, bad habit of hers), Stephanie had to settle for leaving her apartment on an empty stomach. But once she’d made it to the cafe, she was quick to grab one of the last few bagels left and find some juice in the staff room refrigerator. 

Stephanie’s pretty sure she saw one of the customers frown at the bagel thing though.

Mark had spoken so softly, Stephanie had barely caught his words, and if it weren’t for the lock of her hair wrapped around his fingers, she probably would have assumed he hadn’t said anything at all, or at least anything directed at her. “Oh.” She chuckled softly, head dipping in an attempt to hide the shy smile creeping up on her. “Um, thanks? Should probably thank the shampoo company for that or something,” she replied, wincing inwardly at her words. “I guess they weren’t lying with that whole ‘smooth as silk in two weeks’ thing, huh.”

it’s almost 2 am when soojung finally falls into her bed with an over-exaggerated sigh. the day had been hectic, like always, and she wasn’t ready to wake up in the next few hours to do it again.. like always. admittedly it had been more difficult to sleep lately than most nights, and as she tossed and turned around in her bed she came to the conclusion that she needed to get one or two things off her mind.

grabbing her phone she doesn’t even realize that she initially hits the wrong number before she sends the message.

    jaebum reads the messages as soon as his phone notifies him about them and smiles seeing it’s mark. he really didn’t expect anyone but hyerim to actually remember what day it is today, but feels glad and surprised in seeing his best friend also remembered.

    if he didn’t know better, it’s possible that he would have to wander around all of hongdae before actually finding mark tuan. but he knows exactly where to find the other guy—and if he isn’t in any of those coffee shops they used to go, he just could be at amnesia. as he pushes the ground with his foot to give impulse, he balances himself over his board and let himself roll towards the club.

    it was already late, most of the stores already closed and most of the bars and clubs were getting lines even though they wouldn’t be open for at least another half hour. at that thought, he pushes his foot on the ground again, gaining speed and turning to the right street. there aren’t many people at amnesia’s door, and most of them seemed to recognize him—not that he’s famous or anything, but that’s the only club in hongdae he would attend without thinking twice, clearly because his best friend owned it.

    greeting the security guard, who’s already tired of his face, jaebum enters the club and sees a few lights still on, as it’s being prepared for opening that night. “mark-ah!” he calls out, his board on his hand and under his forearm as walks around and greets the employees. he didn’t send a message or anything before showing up, but he seriously needed some time off with someone who would distract him from everything else. “there you are!” he smiles, seeing the guy walking behind the bar’s counter. “what’s up?”.
