studying’s for the circles. the soft rounded freaks. cube loving losers.
the reason that studying isn’t for squares is because daehan usually wears his big padded jacket ( the white one that doesn’t match this season ) to the library because it’s cold as fuck in there. because of that people says it makes him look like a large rectangle and well - like his favorite math teacher said all rectangles are squares and all squares are rectangles. all that shit. so, studying’s for rounds and if clearly he doesn’t like studying, at all. but he needs something to do in the time he’s not working or cooking up sick beats in his apartment.
he comes here to take pictures of himself and send to his grandma so she can ease her worries about him slacking off.
cut him some slack, he’s trying.
usually he goes with one nicely packed rice ball ( lifted casually from work from the night before ) but today he goes with two steaming bowls of ramen. the one thing that the library has done right is make the no eating sign so small that daehan can claim he doesn’t see it at all. and he will ( except the librarian is a little scary so if he gets caught he might just shove it all in his mouth ).
the point is, he’s making his way to his corner on the fourth floor and sliding the spicy one to his companion. the real joy of going to the library is finding out how many people don’t actually study. discovering that he is not only one of many posers, but the library is a place where everyone is too aware of the fact that they might be being observed but they’re too full of themselves to act like it it. the things people do for image. daehan’s got no image, so he’s letting out the loudest, most obnoxious moan at the smell of his food and scanning for their first victim.
“alright so today in the hidden camera files of hwanggeum library, i say guy three rows down is about pull up a tab and watch the nasties for another hour.”
best thing about the campus, lounging around is just an excuse to talk shit. and he appreciates having found someone to do it with.
