what time is it? self-promotion time! (my brain has been taken over by the gay pirates, lads)
heaven help the fool who falls in love from beginning
Not for the first time, Ed wonders what he’d do without “Bookl0ver1974” to vent to. “No details,” that was the key to the whole arrangement. He doesn’t know Bookl0ver1974’s name, class, career, family information, or any other identifying personal details, and Bookl0ver1974 doesn’t know his. [...] From the off, Bookl0ver1974 was clever, witty, and eternally optimistic—the sort of man who would make Ed be ashamed of writing to him with the burner email handle he’d had since he was a teen, if he wasn’t also kind enough to never even consider teasing him about it. And for whatever reason, Bookl0ver1974 seems to like him just as much as the other way around.
A You've Got Mail AU featuring bookshops, professional rivalries, hidden identities, and a good scoop of beautifully stupid shenanigans.
i’ve been having such a blast with this one! i mention it in the end notes, but the concept of the different ways that these characters present themselves depending on the context is such a fun idea to explore in this way :D also i am of course the world’s biggest sap so i wanted to put these guys in a pure fluff setting :D
