Day 1

The adventure began in Dublin today. Once we made it into the city we were able to catch a hysterical, cynical walking tour of the city with our lovely tour guide Rex. We spent about 2 hours with him, but half hour in the middle was at a pub having my first Irish beer (it wasn’t bad!). Afterwards we wandered about, saw a really old library, went to a street market for lunch and crashed back at the hostel for a midday post-jet lag nap. The evening brought us to a hipster burger joint, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, and of course a packed pub. We had a bit of an adventure on the way back to the hostel—we had a map but chose not to use it, so you might say we took the short cut to the short cut, ended up getting ice cream and finally meandered about until we found Ha'penny bridge and knew the way back. Tomorrow looks to be just as busy!
