The crater edge of the devastating 1888 phreatic eruption of Mt. Bandai-san, Fukushima, Japan, here seen as the steep ridge between Mt. Kushigamine (Ku) and Tengu-iwa (Goblin rock, Te), viewed from the outer side of the crater (upper). Similar to the 1980 Mt.
