Hibiki’s eyes slowly open, revealing the ceiling above her. Very slowly, her body is wracked with a dull ache as she rolls onto her side to look over the edge of the bed. Miku wasn’t there. Why was she so tired? What happened? While her addled mind tried to piece together the answers to these questions, she became aware of a wet feeling on her face and hands.
Reaching up, she brought them before her blurry eyes, only to recoil in shock once she notices that they are covered in blood. Suddenly, she remembers where she is. It happened again.
Even if she couldn’t remember it, it had happened. In fact, she was more scared of the fact that she couldn’t remember what happened. This blood definitely wasn’t hers, so who’s was it?
Images of Miku flashed through her head and her heartbeat hastened. Bolting up, she shoves herself against wall, her hands slowly clutching at her hair as her mind conjures up scenarios where this blood might be from the last person she would want.
