I feel like something not enough people talk about is how being good at english studies or reading coprehention can kind of...spoil books for you? like I just came up on a part of a book I'm reading that's supposed to be a massive plot twist, but I saw it coming ages ago because that's how you would form a well written story? thats just how the plot naturally continues, and me, being reasonably well versed in such matters, can predict it, but its also really fucking annoying because I keep giving myself spoilers just by knowing basic plot narrative
