In Without Their Permission, Reddit.com co-founder Alexis Ohanian explains that if aspiring entrepreneurs want to make something that people actually want, they should “start with a real problem.” But, the problem with finding a problem, is that “sometimes people don’t realize they have a problem.” We’re creatures of habit, Ohanian says, and a bias for the status quo prevents us from spotting things that need improvement. I’m not talking about long lines at the DMV or a loud neighbor. It’s the hidden inefficiencies.
