Jace had woken up in a strange room and then he had wandered around as he figured it was an apartment or something on that sort.  The last thing he remembered, he was in the institute in his room and had fallen asleep after an intense training session.   He pulled out his phone and called Alec.  “Come on -- Pick up dammit.“ he said as he had developed a headache with the confusion of where he was and he looked around the city.  Thank god his invisibility rune was still active so that mundanes couldn’t see him unless he allowed himself to be seen by them.

He then heard a voice on the other line and he relaxed a bit, “Alec, where are you... can I meet you somewhere around here...”he asked curiously as he hoped he would be able to find his way around as he hadn’t ever been to Washington DC before.

tessa was tired. she was tired of being here in the states, out of her time, with questions that just seemed to continue to go on unanswered. it was time that changed. the biggest issue had been finding a good starter point. at first she had naturally gone to the library, one of her favorite places, but with only time travel and weird familiar feelings to go off of it was just about impossible. with no leads and no idea how to continue tessa was starting to feel hopeless again, when across the street someone caught her eye. she was almost happy she had finally given in to wearing pants, making it much easier for her to weave through the grid-locked traffic. ignoring the hocking drivers now behind her she quickly walked up to the man. “what are those marks on you?” it was not the most polite way to start a conversation, but she felt much past that at this point. “and don’t just say they’re tattoos. i know they aren’t.” some modern tattoos would never elicit such a familiar feeling from her after all.

Jace was training in the weapons room when he heard someone come in and he lowered his seraph blade and he saw Alec. He had been working so hard as he had another episode of grief hit him and he only knew how to deal with it one way to help ; Training. Jace turned as he looked at him as it had been a couple days since he had shut himself in his room. Either that or training.
