I’m addicted to words
In poetry, novels, short stories and above all song
A song is poem with a beat
A great rhythm to which you can move your feet
It’s my favorite addiction of all
See when that initial beat starts coming out the speakers
I already feel myself reaching a new height
The world beneath me and music with me
There’s nothing more I love in the world than
Being on a cloud higher than nine
With a music player in my hand
And smooth moves in my feet
As I dance to the addicting beat
I don’t understand how some people live a life without song
When the first word I think of when I hear the word music
Is more more more
Doctors always say addictions are unhealthy
And strongly advice against them
But I don’t give a hoot about a doctor’s prescription
As long as I’ve got music in my soul
