I've seen this around for awhile, but seeing several posts and real-life proof of JYPE's new regulation today has been really quite... Saddening. The implementation of this "no physical contact" regulation was so sudden and no reason was given, neither to us nor the boys.
Of course I understand, sasaengs, but... We're... Not..? We love Got7 and only want the best for them? Seeing Jackson and JinYoung low high-key defying this rule in a way demonstrates what they think about it too: it's kinda bullshit.
Jackson tried his best to allow fans to look at him (apparently even looking at Got7 through gaps in the walls is not allowed now, according to JYPE) and just moved the makeshift wall that the guards put between him and Ahgases; chatting with fans and sweetly asking about their day.
JinYoung flat out ignored the security guard not once, not twice, but THREE times for trying to cut off his conversation with an Ahgase. He put up a smiley front for the Ahgase, but once she left, there was a subtle flash in his eyes that anyone closely observing could tell was a look of displeasure at being interrupted so rudely.
I assume that JYPE thinks that implementing this regulation is a form of protecting his artists. True, how can anyone tell a sasaeng from a nice fan from first glance? But the boys have never expressed anything but love and pure joy from closeup interactions with Ahgases at fanmeetings. If JYPE won't give us a reason, at least give it to the boys. They deserve that much.
