Bubby wasn’t feeling quite safe enough to go in the water here when we were out for our walk today- there was a dropoff here - long lake is part of our walk but then Sidney wanted to go off the trail at a different spot and there was a beach down there - with a couple of ladies who he got attention from and three dogs - so he was happy - and Bubby is so funny - he doesn’t really swim - he goes out a couple inches and just lays down - he is such an interesting dog - I didn’t get a picture of it because I was too busy keeping leashes straight #bubbythebichon #hidingsidney #longlake #silly #thursday #sunnyday #dogkisserinternationalheadquarters (at Dogkisser International Headquarters) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdeCSkhJvRm/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Well we had a bit of an adventure this afternoon- I had Sidney back at the vet because his ears are no better after having taken apoquel for several weeks and he’s also chewing his feet and he’s opened up a spot at the base of his tail - I don’t know if he’s reacting to some trees outside that he’s allergic to in addition to what he’s eating that has put him way over threshold and I’ve also changed his food twice trying to figure things out so he is really uncomfortable poor guy - so we were back and Dr Doucette says the next step is steroids just to make him less uncomfortable and then we’ll look at food again. After that - one step at a time - so that was all fine and normal - I thought it’s not too cold we’ll go for a nice walk. In 12 years I have never take Sidney off leash because when I got him when he was 9 months old I took him off leash and he bolted so I didn’t take the chance again. We’ll today - I took the chance again - and he bolted again. There is a very nice walk if you’re driving the 103 towards Halifax just past exit 3 - there’s a big yellow road thingee on the right hand side of the road - park there and it must be a road access for something - I’ve never found that thing but it’s great for walking the dogs. Bubby has always been pretty reliable off leash - he just can’t be around other humans because he runs up to them and jumps up so I only take him into the woods - but other than that he sticks close - but today Sidney showed me that I was correct in not taking him off leash the last 12 years - and I won’t again - I looked for him for awhile where he went missing from - and then I decided to double back wondering if he’d headed back towards the car and sure enough when I got back to the road there was a man there asking me if I was missing a dog and there was Sidney - he said Sidney was running down the middle of the 103 - I was so thankful that the man had caught him - we really dodged a bullet today - never again - it’s lucky that Sidney is so beautiful #hidingsidney #disaster #dogkisserinternationalheadquarters (at Dogkisser International Headquarters) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdJhBB8Jfnl/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

This is why I can’t have nice things - or this is why I can’t have shitty fake leather - this was a perfectly good looking chair - but Sidney has an anxiety thing where he needs to pretend like he’s digging up the back garden and covering up his shit - many times a day over every surface of the house and that included doing it on this poor poor chair - I’m sorry chair - you didn’t deserve this treatment- I tried to hold off it’s Demise by a couple months by turning the cushion over so that Sidney was cutting up the bottom - but the time has come - it’s now making a mess on my floor so this coming Friday you’ll be meeting the nice people who pick up the garbage on the curb - you were nice for the six or so months that I had you - I’d have like to have had you for much longer - but it was not to be 😟 #hidingsidney #furnituredestroyer #ohwell #dogkisserinternationalheadquarters (at Dogkisser International Headquarters) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca05SwWNSMA/?utm_medium=tumblr
