We will buy the apartment and I will move in... 🎇
It's in the area of the historic outskirts / beginning of the suburbs, so it should be much more quiet than right in the city center near the main train station where I'm currently living. But it's not too quiet and still central, everything's walkable. Right next to the house is a super cozy historic tavern from 1600, and it's located where one smaller river flows into another big one, so I can go swimming, paddling, canoeing etc. right in front of my door, there are also some small beaches and beautiful hike and bike paths nearby. The apartment is on the second floor and comes with 1 bedroom, 1 big living / dining room combo with a very high ceiling, 1 medium sized kitchen, 1 bathroom with a bathtub, parquet flooring, a renewed heating system, I'll have my own underground parking space, a cellar compartment and a small balcony — Jackpot?!
I will become a professional dog trainer.... 🎇
Today I had the scheduled talk (interview) on the phone with that dog trainer who's popular in my area; she's willing to take me as her student and I can start within the next two weeks! she also said that I was able to finish the whole training in one year! which means I could -theoretically- start working as a professional dog trainer around this time next year already (but I can do everything at my own pace and it would also be legit if I needed 2 years or more) — omg I'm so excited!
My life has always been interesting (& challenging), but it could be really really awesome! I can't believe it yet, but MAYBE, just maybe, things are falling in place and I am able to build my dream life.
I have a bachelor's and a master's degree (got it at age 24 and 27), I already have been working in very different fields: I worked for the ones in need (health care, nursing), I worked for technological progress (fiberglass internet), I worked for the liberal arts (art history, archaeology, archive), I made floors, and I worked for the authorities (building department). Now it's time to finally work with animals (dogs) and their humans.

5K HD - Crazy Talk
Austrian experimental-pop group 5K HD share video for new single Crazy Talk, out August 21st. Crazy Talk is the latest single to be taken from new LP High Performer which is out on September 6th. "As is the case with our new album, 'Crazy Talk' is a criticism of the fast-paced, capitalist world we live in. That’s where the 'High Performer' comes into play again. As if the performer is subject to a force of nature, captured in a daily grind, he continuously pushes himself to unachievable goals and is never satisfied by the results." Fresh and colourful Austrian avant-garde pop group 5K HD produce expansive, electronic sounding music using traditional instruments. Without ever losing sight of a pop sensibility, 5K HD's music moves fluently through jazz, dubstep, breakbeats, funk and even into a prog rock escalation. Their singer Mira Lu Kovacs is regarded by critics and peers as one of the most expressive voices in the scene. (press release)
This video is older than I am but- boy, it’s a gem. Our culture lacks many of the values that would promote more personal fulfillment and —in no uncertain terms— a markedly improved society. If you’re into improving yourself then ditch Shameless tonight and watch this instead.

High Performer - 5K HD (2019)
Digital & vinyl releases, respectively.
I am a High-Performer.
The Hidden Cost of the High-Performer.
We all know that one person — or maybe it’s you — who seems to have it all together. The one crushing goals, grinding non-stop, and killing it at work, school, or life in general. The high-performer. The “go-getter.”
Sounds awesome, right? But here’s the thing: behind all that success, there’s a hidden cost nobody really talks about.
Always “On,” Always Pushing Being a high-performer means living in constant “go mode.” There’s no pause button. Deadlines, expectations, pressure to do more — every day feels like a marathon with no finish line in sight.
And the worst part? The moment you slow down or admit you’re tired, you worry you’ll fall behind or be seen as weak. So you keep pushing. Exhausted, anxious, but pushing.
The Sacrifice Nobody Sees Late nights. Skipped meals. Missed hangouts. Endless “just one more thing” lists. Success comes at a price, and often, it’s your own time, health, and relationships.
You might be the one everyone looks up to — but secretly, you’re running on fumes. And that’s lonely.
The Loneliness of the Spotlight Here’s the ironic truth: high-performers can feel the loneliest.
They’re expected to be invincible. Showing cracks? Nope, that’s off-limits. So they hide the struggle behind a smile and keep grinding — alone.
What If Success Didn’t Cost Your Soul? Here’s a thought — what if being successful didn’t mean burning out? What if it meant balance, self-love, and knowing when to say “enough”?
Your worth isn’t just in what you achieve. It’s in who you are, tired or not.
Your Permission to Pause If this sounds like you, here’s your permission slip: it’s okay to stop. It’s okay to rest. To say no. To be human.
Because you deserve more than just to survive. You deserve to thrive.
The Real Win? Taking Care of You. So, to all the high-performers out there hustling hard — remember: your biggest achievement should be taking care of yourself. The rest will follow.
