I like highboom (junk x cass)! I draw it sometimes.

My HCs for canon universe where Junk & Hog ally w OW (under a cut bc its kinda long):

Cassidy generally works out of an OW base in the US, while Junkrat usually works out of the Gilbraltar base; occasionally Junkrat is tasked to go to the States alone to help with mechanical work in the US base, which is usually when the two of them hang out

This isnt important but i always imagine the US base being less populated than the Gilbraltar base (??? Dont hold me to that making sense in canon idk any OW plot outside of junk n hog)

Their dynamic is usually Cassidy being a big flirt + Junkrat being totally smitten by him

Cassidy also likes to prank (??) or tease Junkrat; he easily catches Junkrat off-guard

Cassidy sometimes underestimates how dangerous/unpredictable Junkrat can be (mostly bc Junkrat's default mode around Cassidy is ehuhuhu bashful mode (?) so that's the side of him Cassidy tends to expect)

Junkrat earnestly thinks Cassidy is like The Coolest Guy™️

Cassidy generally thinks Junkrat is cute amd entertaining

Junkrat has an (unintentional) habit of gassing Cassidy up and feeding his ego (???)

Cassidy has a (fully intentional) habit of enabling Junkrat to get into trouble

Tho their relationship is usually kinda surface level (flirty), Junkrat can be vulnerable/sincere around Cassidy and seeks Cassidy out for comfort when he's upset/uncomfortable; Cassidy is willing to comfort him

Cassidy is less likely to show his own vulnerable side to Junkrat (but may occasionally open up to Junkrat)

In general, Junkrat tends to follow Cassidy's lead (unlike when Junkrat is with Roadhog, where Junkrat acts as leader)

They're drinking buddies

Junkrat loves trying on Cassidy's cowboy getup

Cassidy is generally less patronizing toward Junkrat compared to how other OW members act toward Junkrat, genuinely trusts his perspective and expertise

Cassidy has taken Junkrat to a farm before (? Idk it was like a vague plot in my head)

Cassidy likes to bake/cook & sometimes cooks for Junkrat

They've tried cooking together but it's unclear how successful that was (????)

They're romantic and flirty with each other, but they're not in a serious relationship & consider each other friends

(An aside but my other hcs are Junkrat & Roadhog being in an open relationship, and Cassidy being mainly interested in Hanzo) (i don't rly draw yeehan tho idk just not sth i think about... it is like an endgame couple in my rando OW universe tho)
